Escola Nacional de Seguros (Brazilian School of Insurance)
Founded in 1971, we are a non-profit foundation with the mission of developing and improving the knowledge of Brazilian insurance industry professionals through the generation and propagation of education, research and consolidation.
Our education activities include technical, graduate and postgraduate courses - regular and in-compnay, or face-to-face and distance learning. The range of subjects cover insurance, reinsurance, pension plans, actuaries and others. Research activities are related to academic papers (thesis or dissertation), scholarships for students in and out of Brazil, and non-academic works related to surveys of market segments, geographical areas and so forth. The consolidation of the knowledge obtained is done through the publications of journals, technical books, and development of seminars and lectures.
Our agreements with international institutions bring knowledge about the international markets, focusing different cultures and regulation. Our partner institutions are: The Institutes, Life Office Management Association (LOMA) and International Insurance Foundation (IIF), in USA, The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and Cass Business School, in UK; Fundación Mapfre, in Spain; Institut de Formation de la Profession de l'Assurance (IFPASS), in France; Turkish Insurance Institute (TSEV), in Turkey; Ludwig Maximillian University (LMU), in Germany.
The Brazilian School of Insurance also works as a provider of insurance education for companies in Angola insurance industry.
